What do you think of online dating sites like match and eharmony?

What do you think the success rate in finding a quality guy is on these sites?

I am a 29 yo female, and so many guys who I’m not attracted to are contacting me. A lot of guys over 40, who are divorced with kids are contacting me even though my profile specifies that i do not want that?

Am I that ugly that no guys I like or am attracted to contact me or wink at me? Also, I am not going to make the first move by contacting the guy first

They can be useful tools in meeting people, but just like offline sometimes someone you aren’t interested in may contact you.

If you choose to just sit and wait to be contacted then you’re wasting half your money…you should be as active as the men in contacting people of interest. If you get poor results, it’s because like many things in life you get out of it what you put into it…and it sounds like you’re putting nothing into it.

I am on match.com…I regularly check my “who’s viewed me” list. I noticed a guy from my local area whose profile appealed to me, but I was slightly outside his preferred age range (by about 4 yrs). I contacted him anyway because I found his profile appealing (both photos and what he had to say).

He contacted me back and less than 2 wks later we decided to meet for a drink after work one Friday…that drink turned into 7 hrs of chatting (and dinner). We clicked well and saw each other a number of times after that (unforunately, his situation changed and he recently moved out of the area…that was not planned when we first met).

If I hadn’t taken the initiative I’d have missed out on meeting someone really interesting, a great kisser, and…well, I’ll just say he had “skills” I hadn’t experienced in that way before. ☺♥☻

Perhaps your profile isn’t attention getting enough…but you’ll also get a lot better use out of ANY site if you take some action and not wait to be tapped (and then gripe because you don’t like the guys that contact you).

Your choice…
