My guy friend doesn’t want me to visit him, but when I talk to him on the phone, he’s fine! What’s up?
This is a guy that I grew up with, & although we never dated, we were always together. I lost contact with him for many years. He never married. After my marriage ended, 4 years ago, we ran into each other, and resumed our friendship. He was very free with his hugs and kisses with me, when we first reconnected, and I told him that I had always cared for him. He was okay with me visiting him for a while-we just sat and talked-but now, even though we live on the same street, I only see him when he drives past. He always waves and smiles, as do I, and he told me to call him once in a while, but he doesn’t want to spend any time with me in person, and never calls me! I am not looking to push him into a relationship with me, and I told him, after he rejected my kiss one day, that I just want a good friend. I just don’t know what to think-does he not trust me for some reason? He has always been a quiet loner type guy, and I know he doesn’t have a g/f, because he’s a confirmed bachelor!
He’s hiding something or keeping soemthing from you. He may not be interested in you as a girlfriend but knowing you like him more than friends could be scaring him & he’s too nice or too chicken to tell you how he feels but since you live on the same street he knows he’ll see you around so he doesn’t want to cause friction.
Usually when a friend stops calling it’s because they are trying to get out of the friendship or just too caught up in other things to make it a priorty. Move on girl & forget about being anything more than aquaintances with this guy!
