Has anyone tried speed dating in London?
I’m thinking of going out for speed dating with my sister this weekend. We are both single and in our twenties and I think it will be a good opportunity to meet people and have a nice time. I’m more interested in the experience then finding the “love of my life”, although that wouldn’t hurt either. Does anyone have any ideas on where to go and what to expect?
When I lived in London, a friend of mine tried Speed Dating a few times and had mixed results. I think it depends on how serious you are about finding that special someone through speed dating. If you keep an open mind and have fun with the situation, I think it’s fine. Unfortunately my friend was looking for her knight in shining armour, and was depressed when speed dating did not yield true love. If your outlook is realistic and you don’t place too much emphasis on finding your soul mate, I think it’s a perfectly good way to meet people.
