Weird street sign, I am confused?
I am confused. I am a visitor from Germany, and I currently live in Sydney, Australia. I was walking through a park in Sydneham the other day and saw a sign that said “Alcohol free zone, 12/07/2006 – 12/07/2008 sunset -11am”. Now, I have 2 questions: The date has expired, does that mean you can drink there now? And, before the date expired were you allowed to drink there after 11am? Isn’t it in general forbidden to consume alcohol in public in Australia?
I would say you are right: You can drink there now, and b4 expired you could drink after 11am. Good luck*
