Ok i have a question that involves my parents and dating?
Well I been talking to this guy I met on the internet but he is from memphis like me. I been getting to know him through texting and all that he seems really nice he has alot going for him. But the thing is he wants me to go to the movies with him saturday. and my parents are going to be wanting to know who is this guy why i never mentioned him before. I was planning on sayin i met him through a friend. but didnt think it was important to mention him. and then i wana be honest. but see if i do go wit him saturday he will meet my dad before i go so what should i do lie 2 my parents about where i met him or be honest. see im 19 and live wit my dad and he is 23 I dont wana lie 2 them thou. i need advice FAST PLEASE HELP!!!!
Although you are 19, meeting a guy online can still be a bit dangerous. I would just be honest with your parents and tell them how you met him. And then tell them you have no problem having them meet him to make them more comfortable with the situation and if the guy you met online is a nice guy he will have no problem meeting your parents. Just simply explain they are bit over protective but mean no harm! If he doesnt want to, then I wouldnt want to meet up with him anyways.
