Pakistani girl engaged to white guy, help?
Hi I come from modern Muslim family but I have been dating my white christian bf for a couple years now. My parents know about him but have never met him. Recently we decided to get married in the next year. I want to introduce him to my parents finally and let them know we are getting engaged but I’m really worried about how they are going to react.
Any tips? They know I’m dating him and disapprove but they kind of have “looked away” at what I’ve been doing…not acknowledging it if you know what I mean.
I think that someone happiness is important too but what if your parents say that he have to become a Muslim? Is he ready for that to be one? Because i’m half Pakistani myself and most Pakistani parents expect that the girl/boy friend convert to Islam. A cousin of mine married a black guy and he became Muslim for her and i guess he wanted to be one himself…anyway…introduce your boyfriend first to your parents and then look what will happen. Insha’Allah everything will be alright.
